I will walk you through with all the rules. That will help you understand when to use will and when to use shall in the right way. There are two rules for will and shall. The first one is the normal future. And the second one is for strong future. So let's start with normal future first. Normal future. Normal future means when we talk about a prediction or a plan or any expectations. Normal future means that you don't express strong emotions about the future. So in normal future, when we talk about the first person that is I and we, we use shall. For example, I shall write you a letter this summer. We shall go for a vacation this Sunday if it doesn't rain. On the other hand, in normal future, when we talk about the second and third person that is you, he, she, it, they. We use will. For example, she will hire a tutor for her examinations. They will be late because of the bad weather. The next Olympic Games will be held in London. So these are the rules for normal future. Strong future. Strong future implies strong emotions. It involves a promise, a command or affirmed domination. So in strong future, when we talk about the first person that is I and we, we use will. For example, I will clear the interview. We will not only win the match, but also the tournament. On the other hand, in strong future, when we talk about the second and third person that is you, he, she, it, they. We use shall. For example, you shall not enter the house without my permission. Rahul Shah help you to solve the puzzle. Over here, with you, he, she, it, they, we use shall to express a command or a promise. There are three types of situations where we generally get confused when to use will and when to use shall. Situation number one request. Whenever you request someone, you always use will. For example. Can you help me with dinner? Will you help me in solving this question? Situation number two. Offer. Whenever you offer something, you always use shall. For example, shall I help you with your homework? Shall I take you up the baby while you're gone? Situation number three. Suggestion. Whenever you make a suggestion, you always use shall, for example. Shall we go out for the night at night? Shall we go out for a ride? In the beginning of the video, I had promised to share a golden rule with you. So that you never make a mistake between Will and shall. And the golden rule is that if you ever get confused, when to use will and when till you shall, always prefer using will or shall in any statement.
