Get to know your new Accelerated Reader - Teacher edition

Thank you for taking time to learn more about the exciting accelerated reader changes, coming for you and your students. Today's video is meant to give you a sneak peek into the changes for teachers. But we won't stop there. Let's take a look at what you would expect. You'll notice that the homepage has a fresh new look. For those who have accelerated reader, you'll continue to see a single accelerated reader icon. You'll recognize familiar menus along the way. All users will see an update to the target set functionality. As you may have heard, we have many exciting changes coming to our reports with accelerated reader. They will have their own video. Another familiar menu item is managed books and quizzes. This link takes you to a new managed content location that allows you to create book quizzes, manage books and quizzes, import your library's Mark records, so students can see what books are available in your library's collection. The managed books and quizzes also has been consolidated. Now you can use the controls at the top to find different types of accelerated reader content. Administrators can also use this section to hide books from students. Another area we've been able to consolidate is our preferences area. This is a new preferences location that includes the preferences that you have access to for all of our products that you use. Depending on your roles and responsibilities, you may see school, classroom, or individual student preferences. When looking at the accelerated reader menus, you may be asking yourself where's the record book? You will now have a single location to view and manage your student's activities and quizzes. From the reports menu, you'll be able to see the review students work dashboard to see your students quiz records. If you don't already utilize our help files, we encourage you to use them to help familiarize yourself with these new changes. Additional resources will be added to help support you. I'd also like to call your attention to a brand new feature. You and your colleagues now have access to the smart start course. This product training will help get you started on the right foot.
